Cinnamon Pear Ginger Cooler
I make this fall cooler by simmering pears with ginger and cinnamon into a light syrup, then stretch it with sparkling water for a drink that's warm-spiced but not heavy.

Method
Bring the pears, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and water to a boil in a pot, then simmer for about 10 minutes until the pears are soft.
Strain everything through a fine mesh strainer, pressing gently on the solids to release all the liquid.
Stir the honey and lemon juice into the warm pear liquid and let it cool completely.
Fill glasses with ice and divide the pear syrup among them.
Top each glass with sparkling water and stir well.
Garnish each drink with a thin pear slice and a fresh cinnamon stick.
